Qualifications: BA (Hons.) Applied Education Studies Degree, University of Bedfordshire; Graduate Teacher Programme, SCITT Shire Foundation; Teacher of English as a Foreign Language, TEFL in Prague by Edua Languages

Previous Teaching Experience: Ella has almost 11 years‟ experience working in educational settings. She has taught a wide range of ages within the Primary and Early Years Foundation Stage phases, completing her GTP in Year 4. Ella has joined our school from the Czech Republic, where she spent 5 years teaching the EYFS and Year 1 in international schools in Prague. Ella enjoys yoga and cooking, and is keen to share these interests with her class in an educational way.

Present Responsibilities: Ella is a Reception class teacher at our EYFS campus SS2. She is also part of the Student Welfare and Leadership aspects group.

Mrs. Natalie Field : Pre-Nursery Teacher

Qualification: Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, Waikato Institute of Technology, NZ. Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary), Waikato University, NZ.

Previous teaching Experience: Natalie has 7 years of teaching experience working with 2-5 year olds. After completing her GDT in Hamilton, New Zealand, Mrs. Natalie gained employment at a privately owned nursery working with 3-5 year olds and mentoring student teachers. Natalie is passionate about building relationships, challenging understanding, and celebrating the uniqueness in all children.

Present Responsibilities: This year Natalie is running a Jewelry making ECA and is also a member of the Yearbook Aspects Group.

‘J’ Salcedo : Reception Teacher

Nationality: Filipino

Qualifications: B.A. Major in Child Development and Education, Miriam College, Philippines. TEFL Certificate.

Previous Teaching Experience: “J” has 31 years teaching experience across all age ranges within Primary School. She taught in the Philippines for 17 years before joining us in April 2005. “J” taught in Years 1 and 2 before joining our Early Years team.
Present responsibilities: “J” is a member of The Parents Advisory Group.

Agnes Ubaldo : Nursery Teacher

Nationality:  Filipino

Qualifications: BS Behavioral Science Major in Psychology with teaching units (Miriam College, Philippines).

Previous Teaching Experience: Agnes has 28 years teaching experience in both Early Primary and the Early Years. She worked as an Early Years teacher in the Philippines for 6 years at St. Paul's College, Marist School and Crescent Woods Montessori School. Agnes joined the ABCIS in 1997. She has had experience teaching in all subject areas across Key Stage 1 but most of her classroom experiences are with the Early Years.

Present Responsibilities: Agnes is with Staff Social and Wellbeing Aspect Group and currently runs the Phonics ECA.

Julie Walton : Head of Early Years

Nationality: British

Qualifications: BA Honours with QTS Early Childhood Studies, University of Surrey, UK.

Previous Teaching Experience: Julie has taught classes from Playgroup up to Year 3. In the 14 years she has been teaching she has coordinated and managed a number of curriculum areas including ICT, P.E, Extended Services, Parent Workshops, International Links and the Early Years. Her career started in London and her international work on educational systems with the British Council meant that she was able to visit and work with staff in Tanzania and Canada. After completing Leadership Pathways at the Institute of Education in London she moved into the international sector. Over the last 6 years she has worked as Head of Early Years in Portugal, as a Vice-Principal in Hong Kong and more recently Head of Early Years at BVIS bilingual school in Hanoi. In her spare time, she has continued to research best practice in the Early Years by visiting schools in other countries, including Reggio Emilia in Italy and Te Whariki in New Zealand.

Present Responsibilities: Head of Early Years, Reception class teacher and a member of the Reporting Aspects Group.
