The ABCIS Editorial Team writes articles, guides and insights published on The ABC International School blog. We create content for families exploring a British international education in Ho Chi Minh City. Our aim is to give parents clear, practical answers to the questions they ask most.
Our team brings together experienced education content specialists who work closely with school leadership. Every article is reviewed and approved by our Principal, Steve Shaw, before publication. This means our guidance reflects how ABCIS actually works, from Early Years through to Sixth Form. We cover the topics families care about most. These include admissions, the British curriculum, iGCSE and A Levels, and university pathways. We also write about student wellbeing, learning approaches and settling into life in Vietnam.
Our writing is shaped by the school’s ethos of Achieving, Belonging and Caring. We believe choosing a school is about more than examination results. It is also about finding a community where a child feels known, valued and supported.
Our content draws on the standards and experience of the school itself. We have received four consecutive Outstanding grades in our British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspections, most recently in January 2024. We are accredited by Cambridge International and AQA, and are members of COBIS and FOBISIA.
We base our articles on reliable sources and on our own experience as a school. We do not publish invented statistics or unattributed quotes. We review and update articles so that information on admissions and curriculum stays current.
We publish in English, Vietnamese and Korean, so more families can read about ABCIS in their own language. If you have a question about anything you read here, our admissions team will be happy to help.
